On October 29th, 2012 , New York City was devastated by the destruction of Hurricane Sandy. Sandy ran wild flooding streets and tunnels, shutting down subways and cutting power off all over the city. My heart poured out to everyone who was touched by the storm. Luckily, my neighborhood didn’t struggle with Sandy’s wrath.  I missed a few days of work  which was cool but the worst thing that happened from the resultsofmean ol’ Sandy. The best tasting event in New York was canceled. I could remember being excited to attend that year. As we all know, think safety first.  Since the hurricane, this event has been going real strong.

Reason why New York Taste is the best tasting event in New York. It is put together by my favorite local magazine New York Magazine and the well respected Grub Street team. There is no limitations, you will enjoy samples from the best restaurants from every corner and block of the NYC metropolitan. The selection of restaurants are usually some of the top and buzziest on the scene. It’s a party, expect to try some well crafted cocktails from some of the best drinkslingers NY has to offer. New York Taste offers a little bit of everything so for  those who might have a sweet tooth, don’t worry you will be taken cared of. Good Vibes, the staff is very nice and welcoming no bs and no drama. Overall, this is a top notch well oiled function.

This years edition features a  great  lineup of restaurants as well.  Some of the bites I’m looking forward to is Prospect Heights darling Olmstead, Dale Taldes Italian inspired Massoni and the classic French hit           Le CouCou .
