In my book, one of the most solid neighborhoods in the food and drink scene is Williamsburg. So many dope spots opened up this year alone, joining some old classics. Stop all that noise, good ol’ Billy Burg is still the place to hang especially is your questing for food. Can’t hit every restaurant so I suggest you go to the Taste of Williamsburg/Greenpoint for a foodgasm .

If you haven’t taken a weekend getaway , had a froze, or went to a music festival. Your summer could have been a bit dull. You could spice it up a bit by attending the Taste Talk food convention in Brooklyn. Always a fun time to see whats the latest food trends and get to rub elbows with some of the finest chefs. Always a great debate. Where is the best dining neighborhood in Manhattan?
My answer probably will be Flatiron. Though pretty small in area, Flatiron is packed with some powerhouses. To get a sample of some of the best bites the city has to offer, I recommend attending Celebrate Madison Square Chefs on July 18th. Some of the featured restaurants include Cosme, Sugarfish and The Nomad. This is not to be missed. Scoop your tickets here : madisonsquarepark.org/news/cmsc-tickets
When the sun is shining and the weather is beyond sweet. The Grace Foods crew comes to the rescue for your summer time blues. All foodies should make their way to Queens on July 23rd for the annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival. Enjoy a full day of sun, fun, music and course food. Entertainment will be provided by some reggae greats, including Barrington Levy and Morgan Heritage. The star of the show is the many vendors that will be serving the jerk of all sorts and other tropical delights.

Summer is looking very strong this year. Of course there will bbq’s and picnics with Mrs. Pinkyfingerup. Trips to the ballpark , some of our cities best restaurants and of course sipping on some cold brews. To get a heads up on some of latest brewskis, I usually attend the New York Craft Beer Festival. Up next is their summer session taking place at the Metropolitan Pavillion. This session will also include a Hard Stuff Tasting Pavillion, which will feature some beer and spirit cocktail.
